Movement 4Change Initiative Organizes Special Prayers for Alh. Lateef Bello Babamba Over His New Promotion

… As a Muslim, we must be thankful to Allah always and avoid Shirk of any form –Ustadh Abdallah Ohiana

The Movement 4Change Initiative (M4CI) today organizes special prayers for Alh. Lateef Bello Babamba in his residence at Agassa area of Okene Local Government Area of the state over his recent promotion as the Director, FCT Security Service Commission.

The Chairman of M4CI, Muhammed M. Lawal, thanked Allah for the life of Alh. Lateef Bello Babamba. He posited that Alh. Lateef Bello’s promotion did not come as a surprise to the members of M4CI.

In his words

“We saw it coming. One with such level of dedication to duty deserves no less than what he is getting now”.

He further extolled Alh. Lateef’s leadership qualities, courage and forthrightness and described him as a peace loving man with a generous disposition.

Shortly after the prayer session, Ustadh Abdallah Ohiana in his sermon, admonished the muslims to always show gratitude to Allah for everything they possess including their health, wealth, intellectual abilities and life as gratitude to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is of the greatest deeds and one of the salient characteristics of the Prophets of Allah.

According to him, Allah will always test His servants with blessings as He tests them with calamities, but a true muslim must always be perservering and thankful to Allah in all things.

He said, the one who is most deserving of thanks and praise from people is Allah because of the great favours and blessings that He bestowed upon His slaves.

Also Ustadh Ohiana told the Muslim to stay far away from shirk as associating a partner with Allah is a rejection of Islam and takes one outside of the faith.

He quoted verses from the Holy Qur’an and buttressed that
Shirk is the one unforgivable sin in Islam if one dies in the state.

The Quran says:

“Verily, Allah forgives not the sin of setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom He wills, sins other than that. And whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far from the path.” (4:116)

Ustadh Abdallah noted that even if a muslim live a virtuous and generous life, his efforts will count for nothing if all that are not built on a foundation of faith

Finally, he prayed for God’s guidance for Alh. Lateef Bello Babamba and the wisdom to discharge his duties effectively.
