Hon. Abdullahi Bello Balogun Tasked His Constituents To Be Peaceful And law Abiding During The Forthcoming Election.
Hon.Abdullahi Balogun Bello the majority leader kogi state house of assembly call on his constituents to be “peaceful” in the forthcoming local government election, he stated this when he returned to his country home to prepare, mobilise and ensure the victory of all APC candidates in the forth coming local government election in Ajaokuta local government.
Adopting historical approach the member eulogize the peaceful conducts of Ajaokuta eletorates since the rebirth of Nigeria’s democracy in 1999.
In his words “The political atmosphere in Ajaokuta local government has always been peaceful before and after elections”this he attributed to the law abiding nature of the good people of Ajaokuta and the love for due process and their exposure politically,he admonish them to continue being peaceful and resist any attempt that will make them embrace political violence that can create instability and tension in our dear local government.
The majority leader pleaded with the constituents to vote for all the candidates of the party just like they did in the previous elections,he assured the people that the APC led government will deliver the dividends of democracy on all fronts and that the rule of law will be upheld.
He called on the electoral umpire to be fair and upright he stressed that they should ensure the translation of the general will and desire of the electorates into reality.
The member appreciated the efforts of the security agents especially our police and vigilante for maintaining law and order and ensuring that our roads are safe from kidnapping and robbery. He call on the opposition parties to avoid taking actions that will tense and polarize the polity during and after the local government election, he enjoined them to play by the rules of the game.
Finally, he thanked the state governor His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for embracing federalism, respecting the constitutional rights of the people at the grassroot to elect thier representatives and for promoting women participation in politics.
