In a condolence message to Governor Bello, BCO described Hajia Hawau’s death“a great loss not only to Kogi State but Nigeria in general, given her invaluable contributions to the course of humanity.”
The group’s condolence message was contained in a statement in Lokoja yesterday by her President, Prince Suleiman Adinoyi.
He described the departed Hajia Hawau as “a quintessential mother, devout Muslim and community leader who devoted her lifetime to the service of God and humanity.’’
BCO paid glowing tributes to the deceased, saying she was a good mother, and urged the Governor Yahaya Bello’s family and the entire Kogites to take solace in the fact that the late matriarch lived to witness the enormous successes achieved by her children culminating in the emergence of Alh. Yahaya Bello as the governor of Kogi State.
“On behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, I commiserate with our leader, the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello, on the painful loss of his beloved mother,” the President said.
The group called on the bereaved family to continue to uphold the cherished ideals of community service, kindness and generosity associated with the matriarch of the Bello’s family and prayed Almighty God to repose her soul, and give the family, the people of Kogi State and Nigeria the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
